Level 2+: Roll hit point dice twice. Keep the highest score. If neither roll is above 50% of the maximum potential and the combined total is less than 100%, keep the combined total. If only 1s are rolled, keep rolling until another number is rolled. These results are cumulative. If your Constitution score is equal to or greater than 15, you can roll an optional 3rd time.
